The General Authority for Statistics’ (GaStat) latest labor market release shows that unemployment declined to 12.6 percent in Q4 2020, down from 14.9 percent in Q3 2020. The improvement was mostly affected by a drop in female unemployment, which declined to 24.4 percent from 30.2 percent in Q3.

Saudi Labor Market Update – Q3 2020
The General Authority for Statistics’ (GaStat) latest labor market release shows that unemployment declined to 14.9 percent in Q3 2020, down from 15.4 percent in Q2 2020. The improvement was in-line with the pick-up in overall economic activity in Q3, following the lifting of severe pandemic related restrictions in mobility from June 2020 onwards.
