Tariq Al Sudairy
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Tariq joined Jadwa in 2011 as Head of the Private Equity and Investment Banking Division, and was subsequently appointed as Managing Director and CEO in May 2014.
Prior to joining Jadwa, Tariq was a Senior Vice President at Amwal AlKhaleej, a regional private equity firm headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. At Amwal, Tariq was involved in the full investment cycle, leading deal structuring and negotiations as well as post-acquisition value creation. He also represented the firm on the boards and board committees of portfolio companies to advise on matters of corporate governance, strategy, corporate finance, business development, senior management recruiting, and performance monitoring.
Previously, Tariq was a Manager with McKinsey & Company, based in Dubai, UAE. While at McKinsey, he led project teams advising major companies and government institutions in the Gulf Cooperative Council (GCC) on a wide variety of issues related to strategy, organization, and implementation, with a particular focus on the financial services sector.
Earlier in his career, Tariq was a Consultant with Lexecon Inc., an economics consulting firm in Boston, MA. There, Tariq managed project teams that analyzed industry structures, competitive dynamics, and resource valuations in the context of litigation and regulatory proceedings, primarily focusing on the oil and gas sector.
Tariq is a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul), Abdulmouhsen Al-Hokair Group for Tourism and Development Company, and Saudi Aramco Base Oil Company (Luberef). He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and holds a B.A. with honors in Economics from Williams College.
Chief Financial Officer
Abdulaziz was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Jadwa Investment in May 2014 responsible for leading the Finance team of the company. His primary focus is the strategy, planning, development, monitoring and reporting overview of all elements of the financial management of the company.
Before joining Jadwa Investment he worked in Bahri, one of the largest shipping company in the world. At Bahri Abdulaziz was the project manager for Bahri’s acquisition of Vela, a fully owned subsidiary of Saudi Aramco which specializes in oil shipping. The acquisition value was $1.3 billion. Before that Abdulaziz worked at the Capital Market Authority since its inception. During that time he had the opportunity to be one of the founding members of the Corporate Finance Department. He was able to work on many of the IPOs, rights issues, M&As during that time. In addition to developing the Saudi M&A regulations and the Saudi Listing Rules.
Abdulaziz holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration from Babson College and Master in Business Administration from Stanford University.
Chief Operating Officer
Abdullah joined Jadwa Investment in August 2007 as Chief Operating Officer with the mandate of managing and leading operations platforms including investment operations, information technology, brokerage, administration and premises. As Chief Operating Officer, Abdullah aims to build and maintain world-class infrastructure to support efficient business operations which are in-line with the overall business strategy.
Prior to joining Jadwa Investment, Abdullah was the General Manager of the Remote Banking Division at Bank Albilad, where he oversaw internet banking for retail and corporate, mobile and phone banking, electronic brokerage and trading, ATM, POS and IVR. Abdullah also previously served as General Manager of Jeel Internet Solutions, a member of National Technology Group, and worked previously for The Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA).
Abdullah is a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).
Head, Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering Department
Ali joined Jadwa in July 2011 as Head of Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering Department. With almost 13 years of extensive experience in the field of Compliance and Money Laundering, his role at Jadwa now focuses on overseeing the implementation of compliance regulations related to investment banking, asset management and other business areas across the firm. Importantly, he and his team also ensure that Jadwa products and services comply with regulatory requirements and that employees adhere to the Firm’s Code of Ethics and Compliance Program in accordance to the CMA and SAMA’s rules and regulations.
Prior to joining Jadwa, he worked with Gulf International Bank in a similar capacity.
Managing Director & Chief Strategy Officer
Amer joined Jadwa Investment in June 2015. His main focus is to drive strategic initiatives to enhance business growth opportunities and to build organizational capabilities across the firm. He has extensive business strategy and management knowledge experience gained from serving clients across a diverse range of industries and functional disciplines. He is an accomplished entrepreneur with a distinctive academic background and international exposure. This is combined with strong interpersonal and team skills.
Before joining Jadwa Investment, Amer held various senior positions in McKinsey and Company. He was the Managing Partner of the CDC Systems Middle East and an Information Technology Consultant at Compagnie General d’ Informatique and IBM companies.
Amer holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from INSEAD in France.
General Legal Counsel
Anas joined Jadwa Investment as the General Legal Counsel in October 2014. He is responsible for providing appropriate legal services across the organization that will reduce both legal risks and costs to the firm, identify potential regulatory and commercial risks associated with transactions and ensure that appropriate corporate governance is in place and implemented across the firm.
Prior to joining Jadwa Investment, Anas was employed as Legal Counsel by Clifford Chance Saudi Arabia and as Manager of Rules & Regulations and International Standards at The Capital Market Authority.
He graduated with a Masters Degree in Corporate Law from Nottingham Trent University in the UK and also holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from King Saud University in KSA.
Head, Shariah Department
Bader joined Jadwa in January 2008. He has over 16 years of work experience in Islamic Banking and is currently both the Head of the Shariah Group in Jadwa Investment and also a member of the Jadwa Shariah Board.
The establishment of both Shariah Control and a Research & Development capability have been amongst his major achievements to date. He is now focused on ensuring that Jadwa products, transactions, policies and procedures are in full compliance with Shariah guidelines.
Prior to joining Jadwa Investment, he was the Head of Shariah Audit Department at Al Rajhi Bank. There he established and supervised a Shariah Training Department.
Dr. Fahad Al-Turki
Chief Economist and Head of Research Department
Dr. Fahad Al-Turki joined Jadwa Investment in August 2012 with the mandate of managing and leading the Research Department. He was appointed Chief Economist in October 2014.
Both he and his team regularly publish information on issues related to the Saudi, regional and global economies as well as the important topic of the world oil market. He appears frequently in domestic and international media and is a regular public speaker.
Prior to joining Jadwa, he was the Chief Economist at Barclays Saudi Arabia and before that, he spent 11 years as an Economic Specialist with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA). From 2007-09, Dr Fahad was an Economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) working at the Middle East and Central Asia Department.
He graduated with a BA in business administration (majoring in accountancy) from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, and has both a Master’s and Ph.D. Degree in Economics from The University of Oregon (Eugene, USA).
Director, Head of Private and Institutional Client Investment
Ghannam rejoined Jadwa Investment in November 2012 as Director of Private & Institutional Client Investments. He has over 12 years of experience in business development and wealth management maintaining a high quality approach to all sales, services, operational and risk management processes. A major part of his role is to organize and plan campaigns for Investment Banking and Asset Management lines of business.
Prior to joining Jadwa, Ghannam was a Senior Investment Advisor for private clients at HSBC Saudi Arabia. Ghannam is a certified financial planner with an MIS degree from Ohio.
Head Of Human Resources
Naif joined Jadwa Investment in January 2011 as Human Resources Officer. Shortly afterwards, he became Head of Human Resources and now oversees the delivery of human resources support covering the areas of recruitment, payroll administration, training and development, compensation and benefits administration and performance management across all business lines of the firm.
Prior to joining Jadwa, he worked as an Out Clinic Patient Officer and Medical Records Specialist with The King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Naif graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resource Management from Keele University in the UK. In addition, he also has both a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia and a CMI Diploma in First Line Managers from the UK.
Managing Director, Head of Private Equity and Investment Banking
Saad joined Jadwa Investment in 2008 as Vice President and was appointed as Managing Director and Head of Private Equity and Investment Banking in May 2014. He leads the firm's private equity investments and investment banking advisory activities and represents Jadwa on the boards and board committees of its portfolio companies.
He has over 14 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, debt capital market, equity capital market and Islamic finance. His transaction experience in private equity and investment banking advisory activities over the past 10 years accounts for a total monetary value in excess of SAR 25 billion.
Prior to joining Jadwa in 2008, he held the positions of Senior Manager, Debt Capital Market at HSBC Saudi Arabia and Manager at The Saudi British Bank, a subsidiary of HSBC Group.
He graduated from King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals in 2000.
Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer, Asset Management
Zaheeruddin joined Jadwa in 2008 to initially develop the buy side research team and then later he was appointed to the position of Head of Portfolio Management within the firm. In his current role he leads the Asset Management team and utilizes his 14 plus years of experience in the field of investments and capital markets to build the team’s capabilities and business performance.
Zaheeruddin was previously employed with Al Meezan Investment Management Company in Pakistan and held the position of Head of Research. He has acquired extensive experience in asset management, investment product development and research during his time with a number of leading institutions in his native Pakistan.
He holds an MBA degree and is a CFA charter holder.
