Dr. Abdullah Al-Mutlaq

Chairman

Dr. Abdullah Al Mutlaq is a senior Shariah scholar in Saudi Arabia and an internationally recognized Shariah advisor. He is a member of the Senior Ulama Board, a member of the Iftaa Committee, a consultant for the Saudi Royal Diwan, a consultant for the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue, and a member of the Shariah Board of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI). Dr. Al-Mutlaq holds PhD and bachelor’s degrees in comparative jurisprudence from Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University (KSA).

Dr. Mohamed Elgari

Member

Dr. Mohamed Elgari is an internationally recognized Shariah advisor and Islamic economist. He is a member of the Shariah Board of the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) and a member of the Fiqh Academy of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Dr. Elgari holds a PhD in economics from the University of California (USA) and a bachelor’s degree in economics from King Abdulaziz University (KSA).

Bader Al-Omar

Member

Bader Al-Omar is Jadwa’s Head of Shariah Compliance and a member of the Executive Management Committee. He oversees the firm’s Shariah control and research functions. Prior to joining Jadwa in 2008, Bader was Head of Shariah Audit at Al-Rajhi Bank. Mr. Al-Omar holds a master’s degree in law from Dar Al Uloom University (KSA) and a bachelor’s degree from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University (KSA).

Dr. Ahmad Al-Gaidy

Member and Secretary

Dr. Ahmed Al-Gaidy is Jadwa’s Head of Shariah Research. He is responsible for Shariah research and development and for obtaining Shariah board approvals. Prior to joining Jadwa in 2008, Dr. Al-Gaidy was a Shariah consultant at Bank Aljazira and Al-Rajhi Bank. Dr. Al-Gaidy holds PhD, master’s and bachelor’s degrees from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University (KSA).
